Most importantly is you need patience, it takes a little bit of time to get where you want and need to be, it’s not going to happen overnight and it’s not going to be easy. You need marketing especially in the beginning when you’re trying to get as many clients and jobs as possible, so constantly trying to promote yourself. You need capitol for one, trucks and equipment are very expensive. Starting your own business was not only a scary thing but also very hard. I thought it would be so easy, I was very wrong. Today we off a wide variety of services including weekly maintenance, new designs and installations, masonry, snow plowing & we even got into asphalt sealcoating in hopes to one day also offer paving. After work I would go do my own accounts and by 2012 when I had enough clients I quit the company I was working for to start my own, in 2014 I also bought another existing business to expand operations. I would walk for hours up and down the streets trying to flyer as many houses as I could. In 2003 when I was 17 I left school to work full time, by 2007 I knew I wanted to go off on my own and started promoting myself. I started working in the landscape business at a very young age because my grandfather was in the business so on Saturdays and summer vacations I would tag along and learned the trade. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far. Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Guerra.Ĭhris, let’s start with your story.
